About Casey Douglass

My name is Casey Douglass and I’m a freelance writer living in Norwich, England. I achieved a Diploma in Literature and Creative Writing with the Open University and I have continued to study the art of writing ever since. I am a published fiction author, with work in a number of anthologies. I have also written for a number of websites, including geek culture website Geek Syndicate. I am also a Huffington Post blogger.

I’m a fully fledged geek who enjoys writing about technology, entertainment and geek culture, my mind just as at home studying things like cryptography as reviewing the latest movies and videogames. I also enjoy tackling the deeper topics of life, having been a regular meditator and avid self-help reader for many years, as well as struggling with anxiety, depression and poor physical health.

When it comes to my fiction, my prose is dark and my words are twisted. I write in a number of genres including horror, sci-fi and fantasy, but nearly all of my creations share a thread of unease that winds through the characters or the situations in which they find themselves.

I am currently looking for freelance work in the areas mentioned. I write with authenticity and a warm personal voice, and I will only take on work that interests me and respects my time. Due to health issues, I keep my workload at low levels. This means that, if I do work on a project of yours, you can be assured that it gets my full attention, and isn’t simply a small part of some hectic production line.
